Looking for either the Deluxe (92330-06YA) or the Standard (91213-04YB) tank bag for my Firebolt. Anyone use these and have anything to say about them (pro's / con's of using one over the other), i have never used a tank bag and i am looking for a little more storage. Also would anyone out there have one they would be willing to part with for a reasonable amount?

Deluxe

Standard

I've had the Buell Deluxe tank bag on mine since new. I love the bag, but the zipper gave up on me a while back. Others have reported the same. I'll most likely replace it with a Cortech bag soon.

Really like my Deluxe bag, no issues at all. And really don't know how I survived before without a tank bag.

Went with a Cortech 21 ltr bag for the new-to-me X-1. Like it a lot, also. The next size smaller (15 ltr?) would probably be a better fit for an XB.

I have 3 of the Buell tank bags, they are junk, you are better off getting a Wolfman or Cortech instead. American Sport Bike has a few left of the Buell bags pictured above.

I just got my new buell tank bag. I love it so far, but i have not even put in on my bike yet so dont listen to me. I guess I will try to be extra carefull with the zipper since that seams to be one of the bags weaker areas.

Cool guys, starting to like the looks of the Cortech bags. Probably going to go that route.

i've had the cortech tank bag that comes with 2 bags and mount for years on the m2 and outside of the zipper on the bag for mounting to the pad, it has held up pretty good. also have the cortech saddle bags that tnxbrider gave me with the purchase of the lighting back in november that i use more so on the firebolt and got the same bags for the blast also. i've seen a couple people get creative when mounting an aftermarket bag to their bikes.

I have the original Buell XB tank bag on my Firebolt, and I love it. I was going to get one of the newer deluxe bags for my XT, but everyone seems to be out. Then I heard about the zipper problems. I've also looked at the Cortech bags and like them a lot, so I'll probably get one of those. And since it costs money no matter where you spend it, I think I'll mail order it from Bumpus.

I have had the deluxe bag for three years with no problems. I just installed speakers in it and an amp in the tail. It sounds good in the garage but I haven't been able to test it on the road.

I was using it on a Firebolt and it was great for every day use but if you're going to do some aggressive riding it'll throw off your tuck a little.

I went through three Buell bags. One regular and two deluxe. The zipper pulled away and became FUBAR on each one.

The fourth one however, was slightly redesigned. It had a little bit of play at the rear so as to not stretch the zipper out.

It looked promising but unfortunately my Buell had an intimate encounter with a four foot deep ditch and has gone to the big circuit in the sky so testing on the new bag has ceased.

Never a problem w/ my standard bag. The tail bag is nice as well, the price sucks though...

I always kept the tank and tail bags on-very useful. I only put the saddle bags on when needed. They're a poor design in that the zipper starts at the bottom!

Ok, I am going to try again. I just mounted my new buell tankbag here is a pic. It lokks great, and best of all it feels like its made for the bike. I can actually rest on the bag. It holds me up when I lean on it. I love it.

It looks almost as good as I do on the bike.
