Anyone know the size of the threads for the stock mirrors. I want to replace the stock ones with something else and I'm not real crazy about bar ends. If anybody has any pics of their bike with the stock mirrors replaced, I'd love to see them. Thanks | ||

I replaced my stock mirrors on my new xb12ss with these Hong Kong cheapies off Ebay. They were $30.00 total and came with several different size adapters. Sorry for the poor photos, if not for the cold temp and Spec Ops has my exhaust I would have pushed it outside for better pics. I also am set up for bar ends but thought i would try these....good luck!    | ||

The lighting in my basement is poor and my camera sucks but here are mine. I cant remember the cost but they are Arlen ness/Drag Specialties Stealth II. They do vibrate but it doesnt bother me. I think they look much better than the mickey mouse ears.   | ||

Twoblocked - Looks awesome! I like it a lot. I contemplated bar end mirrors and and the only thing that nagged at me is a tip-over. Bar ends would be the first thing to hit the ground. | ||

Piotr12, are the mirrors convex or are they straight mirror? i was going to get a pair of (very expensive) rizomas and then i saw a guy with the ones i wanted on his xb and they had straight mirror in them.you cant see a darn thing, what crap. im so glad i didnt fork out the money for them. you would think for $220 buck you would get a mirror you could see out of. | ||

Jwey, thanks! Color is Dodge Viper Snakeskin Green Pearlcoat. I have no idea on the cheesegrater mod and bar end mirrors. I bought the bike exactly as it sits (previous owner has a FS post on here somewhere, I found it on eBay). I want to say he did the tail shave kit himself. Not sure on the mirrors. | ||

Pete - looks good now that they're on - hope you enjoy them. Demon - big field of vision, but not so bad that it distorts what you're seeing. Check my profile pic (I have the same ones as Piotr) ... the image in the left mirror is my second story roof. Bart - I have my old stock mickey mouse ears ... PM if you're interested. |
