I went out for a ride today and just went down to the garage for a smoke an hour after I parked it. Really strong gas smell, which is new to me and the bike. Nothing has been changed except adding a RSS a couple months back. 1/2 tank of gas or so in it. No leaks anywhere. Sitting vertical on a T-Rex stand. (no I didn't check with my lighter) Any ideas?

I can sometimes smell gas too after a ride due to my breather reroute... did you do that mod?

Another time I had a little puddle of gas under the bike is after over-filling the tank a bit... my garage smelled like gas for 2 days after that one.

My bet; just vapors...

In the winter there is a large change in the fuel temperature in the tank. At rest it is probably colder than the air temperature. When you run it with those heads warming the tank and fuel it will likely push some excess vapor into the vent hose that can make it drip a little. I would call that normal.

Normal, add a carbon canister if it becomes problematic.

It was 78F when I was out yesterday. I think it just burped. Could be it warmed up after I shut it down and parked it. The RRS kept the fan off, even after sitting at a few 4 minute lights.
Wifeys '09 pukes and spits gas all the time, expecially after a fill up. I'm used to that one smelling, mine never has.
