Haha I love that video! The first straight they show with the two bikes, it looks like they are leaning over to check and see if it actually is firing on both cylinders or not : D

Then at the end the pile up, that never would of happened if the track didn't have curves : D

ahdra???
is that like a bunch of people racing 54 buicks against each other?with bias ply tires and big steering wheels?and jockey helmets?
i am GLAD my xb9 handles so well, some of those crashes seemed to happen with nothing apparent causing it.
i am a noob but have leaned the xb way down and goosed it coming out of a turn onto the freeway it looks like those turds would throw the rider off and ruin the bike!
i am so glad EB put so much effort into the XB chassis so it handles so well.makes us noobs appear better than we are :P
all kidding aside i am very careful.

What would I expect City? A whole bundle of fun is what!! After doing over 100mph on 25y/o 2inch wide tires not alot scares you on a bike anymore.

He said it wouldnt go that fast, I disagreed

I wonder how a modified Blast would do against the 883's? I bet it would be faster through the corners.

A stock Blast would have an unfair advantage over the 883.

That class looks like a meat grinder for sure. But as the saying goes, I'd rather ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow.

A Blast on good tires with a rider that has some "stones" would eat them up in the turns...period.

those were the old 883 solidly mounted engines, my husband built a flat track version in a 1200 that was scary to ride, he let me try it and it handled like shit. His newer 2007 1200r handles alot better.

I would like to see a 1340 superglide or soft tail series sponsored by harley, it would be quite funny and make sure the riders are required to weigh 350lb min. and at least 10 tatoos and 50% facial hair/ 1/2 helmets.

Funny, when I was a kid, my dad used to take me to Road America for superbike weekend. I always thought the harleys were so boring because they went too slow. Well, I never put 2&2 together. They were going slow because there was no power in the machine. They went reeeaaallllyyy slow around the turns, cuz the suspension sucked. For a beginning class to race in, maybe not bad. For a kid (10 at the time), just not enough excitement. Half of the wipeouts in that vid, it looked like the the rider did nothing wrong to upset the bike. Got a good laugh, and a trip down memory lane.

i think the reason riders crashed in that one area towards the end of the video, was because another well known Harley trait ,an oil leak !

I saw alot of shaky suspension going on. At least in a few of the frames. The end though...looked like track was wet, but other than that ???? I don't think there could be a worse machine to pick for the corners! Well...except for a Boss Hog, but that's a different story.

Some of those "slammed" custom choppers I've seen seem to have ABOUT 10 degrees of lean angle.

You are correct about the bikes lack of "Tech"but some of the best riders around raced in that series,as anybody can go fast on a great bike, but it takes balls to push a Sportster that hard. The #1 plate in those videos is Wisconsin's Scott "Z-Man" Zampach who can ride anything faster than it should go,on the ice,karts.moto-cross or road-racing.He can still embarrass the pretenders on the back roads while riding his Harley bagger. Before your too hard on the guys racing the sportys, maybe you should get off your ass and try it your self, remember your "fast" is my "slow'.

I'm still confused about why so many people hate Harley-Davidson MOTORCYCLES.
I understand the animosity towards the executives who caused Buells apparent end but, the machines themselves should not have an affect on anyone.

Because they represent stagnation and impotence.
