After selling my last bike about a year ago and clearing the way financially to get another bike, I could not pass up a steal deal on a 09 CityX! It is my forth bike, 1st new bike, 1st Buell and also my 1st post here. And here are some of my unbiased 1st impressions. (Well, I have had ultra short demo rides years ago on a XB9S and XB12S) Great looks, lots of black for 09. Good to very good build and component quality. Much improved clutch pull and shifter action from prior years. After doing about 65 mi. of a MotoMan style break-in, (staying close to the RPM's from the manual), the handling and feel is very impressive and intuitive. Vibes at various RPM's is more than I am used to or prefer, but not the numbing type from I4's. I realy love the "road in your face" view you get from no fairing! Power from the engine is OK, but not great. Overall, it has a fun, "just ride me as hard as you can" feel without being intimidating. Let me try to put it another way....YeeeHaw!
Overall, I am very happy with my purchase so far.
I think this bike is the start of my much desired "2 bike" garage!!!
I have almost completed the removal all the warning stickers, DOT reflectors and passenger pegs for a cleaner look!

I am so glad that I finally could get a new Buell in my price range!!! Big thanks to Ccryder for alerting me to the post by Ft_bstrd for some Buell deals. Thanks to Ft_bstd and Dave S. at Bumpus H-D M'boro, great people and dealer to work with! Let the Farkelizing begin!

Congrats Nine! Don't worry, the "YeeHaww" increases exponentially with the miles!

Such a lovely color scheme I got it for my 08 Firebolt. Congrats, get used to how these bikes like to be ridden, my 12R seems to be the harder I'm on it, the better it runs.
