Whats the best way to get a comfortable race/track friendly ergo on the pegs for my XB12Ss?

Already running CR1125 clubmans.

Currently have LSL pegs from American Sport Bike with the 1" drop, but I want something a bit more aggressive (no draggy... better BP) for the track.

I could just get the adaptor for the regular no drop LSL but that seems like it would be very uncomfortable, going up but not back. Also would that work with stock rear brake and shifter position?

Other (reasonably priced) options?

Fully adjustable rear sets would be neat but those are pricey I would assume.

I would sit on a Firebolt or other bike without drop pegs and see how you feel. If you like, then get a set of no drop brackets from Al. I find the riding position comfortable on my 1125R and CR /w clubmans.

My concern is that the firebolt also has a slightly higher seat to compensate...

What are some rear sets that will fit my bike?

I found the wood craft, not TO expensive ($350) but it doesn't come anodized or anything.

I am thinking a rear set might be a good way to go, good aggressive street position but then at the track I can bump it up to a REAL aggressive position.

But I might try the passenger pegs (no drop) around town to see how it feels... Just thinking maybe only going up isn't enough, perhaps I need to go back as well?

The Firebolt pegs will bolt right on, and will raise your feet up and back about an inch...

Chessm lets not go there : p...

But seriously I love my Buell...

Anyways... So its either rear sets or LSL no drops, which would be same as firebolt... I can't go to firebolt pegs, the OEM's offered zero grip for me.

Tq... have you done any aggressive riding with them? Track day? How does it feel when hanging off?

i just put woodcarft's on. they are anodized, clear. for the $, not too bad, but not nearly as adjustable as rizomas or sato's. just throw your passenger pegs in the riders' slot to figure out if you'll like the position. you'll get used to it, either way.

No track days but No chicken strips, I probably go a little faster some times then I should on the street.

I can hang off pretty decent, I find it easier to move around with the low seat then with the street fighter seat that's why i use the low 90% of the time.

Chippy... What type of bike, what type of bar position, what foot positions have you tried?

Not as adjustable as rizoma or sato (I'll look into those) and less bling but it does move up AND/or back, which I think might make it more comfortable and more track suited...

I'll try the passenger pegs someday though.

I'm kind of surprised you're having peg dragging issues on an SS. I have an Scg (low) and I dragged the belly pan before I hit the 1" drop pegs.

I'm sure you've already removed the peg feelers... so I won't go there.

Doesnt suprise me one bit...

With such a low bike I'd expect the pan to drag first.

Feelers are only thing I have dragged so far, street its no problem, never dragged ANYTHING on the street but I know I have a LOT of room for improvement at the track and lots more lean angle available, even with hypersport tires...
