ok first of all, i looked to post this under the appropriate category in the knowledge vault but the most recent post i could find on there was from november...seems deserted to me. to the point, is it bad if you have to cut the steering head bearing off of the stem with a cut-off wheel? haha, i did. too bad i cant repack them and reuse them but on a serious note, now that its out of the way and the stem is all cleaned up and, i need new bearings! my research in this vault of information has yielded this part number: E0002.02A8A. is this correct for my 03 XB9S? also, since ive got your attention, are the forks from a later model buell (the ones with the black tubes) compatible with my 03? |

It isn't deserted, there is only about 2 or 3 active threads going on in the vault at a given moment. It is just so broken down and multi layerd that you can see really old threads without the archive Yes that is the correct part number Yes and no on the forks. The 2003's have 41mm fork tubes, the 2009+ bikes with black tubes are 43mm on most models. You would also need to replace the trees, but it would all bolt on once you got the parts. |
