Has anyone tried molding/making their own plastics out of fiberglass or any other material?

you can make your own, use a wood mold or similar that is easy to shape.you can research
vac form and heat sheet plastic in the oven and then vac form it over your mold or an original plastic part.
fiberglass is messy and itchy.
check into scratchbuilt modelmakers and the vac form technique.

I made some clear acrylic signal bodies. But I'm also an acrylicist at a dental lab, but all I did was set the OEM signal on a vac bed and warmed a sheet of acrylic then laid it over the original signal, sealed it, and turned the vac on. Came out real nice even looked cool being clear, but acrylic made for partials and dentures doesn't stand up to wear and tear on the street. Plus the vac machine is only like 9x9 so the biggest thing I could make was signals.
