Hi all. I'm not a big poster, mostly like to read on all that's happening and enjoy. BUT, after owning my first Buell XB for about 2 months, things have happened to put me in a position to sell it and I figured I could throw some thoughts out there for comment. I thought it would be easy enough, new bike, warranty, etc., etc., so I posted it and while time ticks by I started to think about it. I have had A LOT of bikes over the years and one or two may have been better, but the Buell IS truly unique. I love the power, even in stock form (I typically don't modify from stock) and at my age I really don't need more(I don't bounce like I used to). The suspension works as advertised and as with most bikes I have owned, is better than I am. It works great for my 100 mile commutes and weekend rides. So, if this is as good as it gets, I might be regretting it if it sells. I might have other options to weather this current crisis, but the question is, do you think that clean used Buells will remain available going foward, or will they dry up as people decide to hold on to them? That would be my worry, wanting another and none to be had. As Badweather is the pulse of all that is BUELL, someone here has an opinion. Thanks for listening.

I don't know if YOU should sell your XB. I bought a Brand New 2009 XB12scg 6 weeks before the announcement that the end of Buell had come. My initial thoughts? WTF? Why did this happen? What am I gonna do? Well I got out and rode the bike, and thought about it. Then rode the bike more, and rode it some more. The more I rode it, the less I thought of what happened to Buell Motor Company. Now no matter who I ride with now sport bikes or cruisers. Everyone always comes over to to say it is such a great bike. Sell it if you don't like it. I personally will never sell my bike.

Clean used Buells will available going forward. They'll just be older and more used.

You hit the nail on the head Roysbuell, that is exactly what happens; I get on and ride, think about it and have all that go through my head. Not liking it is not the issue. The prospect of no good replacement down the road if it goes is. Troopshipberlin, I hope you are right, it makes sense, I don't often see older model Buells with super low mileage. These bikes are fun to ride and the miles come quickly.

The way people been falling off them the past month, clean used ones are going to be hard to find.

I'm keeping mine.

My 2cents...I think these bikeS are without question unique. I believe they will be bought up and become harder and harder to find. They are collectors items now....keep it....and if not how much do you want for it?

Top o' the mornin, I didn't realize people are falling down so often but these bikes do beg to be pushed. At this point in my life, I try to only push hard when I know the road and have checked it for any obvious bad stuff (I'm a chickens..t because of parts on me that still don't work right 30 years later from just one get-off). These are opinions I had hoped the Badweather folks would provide, and will keep me thinking. Thanks. While I try to look for other options for my "situation" my bike will stay posted on this site.
