I just bought an 08 XB12R. After examining the bike, I see that it has tipped over on both sides. (not the end of the world)

The tube on the kickstand looks bent but was straightened out. The bike does not feel stable when it's on the kickstand.

It has a much more drastic angle than the 03 Firebolt in the garage (it has a bolt in the kickstand - not the updated pin)

08 XB12R

03 XB9R

03 vs 09 lean

Is that normal? I feel like I'm taking a gamble everytime I put it on it's stand.

You probably are.
I just bought a used '06 XB12Ss, it's kickstand was messed up also. I bought a new shoulder bolt and installed it, and life is good again.
Replace the bolt with the correct one, and you will be good to go.
Don't take chances with your baby!

Put it on a swingarm stand until you get it fixed?

My '04 leans WAY over, and feels like it has to settle-in.
Seems yoke at top of stand's tube deformed, spread apart, and its profile now "V" instead of "U".
Believe one can remove stand; gently hammer-massage yoke parallel; replace pivot bolt ("shoulder bolt", above); and be good-to-go.
Should yoke be heated before its "massage"?

I bought a used kickstand from a 04 XB12r from a fellow BWBer. I was going to wait to install it before I posted again...

I read a lot of threads saying that the 03's have a pretty straight up stance and the new kickstand fixed that and have some give. I wanted to to double check the angle before I replaced it.
