Let me see if I can get this correct? If someone asks for information or is interested in something from a NON SPONSOR then we are not allowed to talk about it,GOOD or BAD. I have seen many post asking where one can purchase a Buell at and I am positive that every HD/BUELL Dealer mentioned some of them are not Sponsors. Also if you mention a price you paid for whatever you got from this or that, then this or that are Advertising themselves even though this or that are not even talking on the post! Well seems like everybody needs to have there little hands slapped with a wood ruler, yea I got mine slapped about everyday in the first grade,op's I pulled the tape off my mouth so I guess I better go stand in the corner! No better yet Blake has the largest roll of tape in the world so I figure I will keep pulling the tape off my mouth! So a question for you Blake. HAVE YOU EVER USED OR PURCHASED ANY THIS OR THAT FROM ANY NON SPONSOR, WAIT A MINUTE THE KID IN THE BACK ROW HAS HAND UP AND HE SAID "YES BLAKE HAS"! If you Blake want to terminate my membership on this site that is your POWER. The truth is people are interested in what people know about a certain topic being it from a sponsor or this or that! You can not censorship peoples interest, oh I forgot I am not a sponsor then I APOLOGIZE FOR ME ADVERTISING MY PRODUCT WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION! | ||

You can talk all you want about it, whether its good or bad. I stated that in another thread.
Yep there have been a bunch of threads like that. Nothing wrong with them. It's not like you are saying "Hey look, I got 4 1125R's here, $5k, call me". That is not allowed from non sponsors.
No, saying "I got mine for $5k at xxxx" is not advertising. Yes it can indirectly lead to them selling a bike, but its not an advertisement.
I can't answer it, I am not Blake, but I am sure he has purchased stuff from both sponsors and non sponsors. I make 90% of my Buell related purchases at sponsors, the rest are things I can't get at a sponsor, like a tire pressure monitoring system.
Why would he? I don't recall seeing you do somthing wrong.

I don't recall seeing you advertising something, but if you did, you probably got a nastygram from Blake and was told to knock it off. Sponsorship is cheap, and it keeps Badweb running. The rules here are easy to follow, and if you don't like them, just leave. Simple as that. Oh, I am not a moderator, I cannot speak on behalf of Blake/Badweb, so these posted thoughts are my own. | ||

No I did not get a nastygram from Blake. My whole point was that he suspended the thread for no worthy reason. I buy stuff from both sponsors and non sponsors because like you said above sponsors do not have everything, and I make my own stuff too. | ||

Well if you were never contacted, that means you never did anything wrong. Either that or your spam filter ate his email. I don't see the issue or why you are upset. | ||

Thanks Froggy, you've got it right. While I'm obviously not Blake, and cannot speak for him, I may be able to help you. My whole point was that he suspended the thread for no worthy reason. Could you please post a link to the thread in question, and I'll see it I can clarify any discrepancy. Also, I've searched all threads you've posted in, and can't find a locked thread with you in it, or one moved out of public view. I have however found complaining about sponsorship/advertising policy here on BadWeB. Again, if Froggy's post above didn't answer the issue, please let me know, and I'll try to help as best I can. | ||

Gottcha Yes, Hawk Performance has indeed been in trouble for non-sponsor advertising. He's been asked to sponsor, but has decided not to. Yes one can review a product all they want, as long as they're truly reviewing a product, not promoting their product. Dean, if you wish to review a Hawk muffler, by all means do so. Remember, while reviewing a product, one must remain objective, and only present facts. Hope I've been helpful. | ||

Glitch you and Froggy are way to fast for my poor typing and spelling to keep up with. And maybe Randy should not have responded to what Froggy wrote. I have one of Randys mufflers and I like it, I give only my honest opinion about stuff I have used and things I have done. I wrote this thread and other responses to come across in a some what humorous way, being that I am not at all funny. And the way Blake ended the thread with his last post and then suspending the thread was indeed in itself selfish. I hope Blake understands that for the most part I was trying to make a comical point and if not then I apologize to you Blake. But seriously my cousin and I both had are palms smacked and mouths taped up by our first grade teacher and neither one of us change anything, great times and great memories. | ||
