What are you asking out the door cash/credit card no credit hassle to worry about for the 09 1125R in black? I am a serious buyer and am in Florida where they won't make a deal good enough for me since they're selling them at damn near sticker. At this point, guys, we can't take any Buell trade-ins. Straight up purchases, trade ins with models we can sell to outside dealers, or HD trade-ins only. I wish we could. | ||

We would like to take Buell trades, but the market for used Buells will decline as a dealership once the new ones are gone. With HDs, we can sell them on the floor. With other models, we can sell them to outside dealers. With Buells, we are where the buck stops. | ||

I understand. If we knew we would continue to have Buell traffic for new bikes, we could feel confident that we would get traffic on used bikes. Without the traffic, it would be like trying to sell Vespas. | ||

Or to put it in words that wont get me fired (cuz i dont work for HD) Harley Davidson wants nothing to do with Buell motorcycles. Therefore they want to get rid of these motorcycles ASAP.(hence the way sweet deals that are being reported) Also why an HD dealer will most likely never ever take another Buell on a trade from here on out. Really, it isn't an HD decision. MOST of the non-HD bikes we take on trade, we already have a buyer for. Either an individual or a dealer of that brand. When we have someone trading in a VTX, we receive a bid from the Honda dealer for the bike and sell it directly to them. The problem we have is that with HD mothballing Buell, we don't know what the long term outlook for used bikes is. We may, as a dealership, find that there is a robust trade in used Buells going forward. If so, we will be happy to take Buells in trade. Until we know how this will all pan out, we can't start stockpiling used Buells without knowing if we can move them. It was hard enough getting people interested in NEW Buells to come into the dealership. Used bikes might be even harder. I'd love to continue to have Buells on the floor. | ||
