I have an 03 XB9S. It has a D & D pipe, K & N filter, and a Race ECM. If I go back to stock pipe and filter can I leave the Race ECM in it? If not and I put a regular ECM in will it need a TPS reset? Thank you |

Yes you can use the race ecm, but the stock one is recommended. You will need a tps reset after doing a ecm swap. |

But don't buy a new ECM. This only applies to the '03: both stock and race use the same chip, different map. All you have to do is switch maps. I'd run the race one and see if there were any problems before I changed. That's me, see what the consensus is. |

The deal is I am selling the 03. I don't have the stock ecm so I want to leave the race ecm in. I just don't know if it will run right? |

I have a race ECM with a stock muffler but open airbox (open airbox and Jardine were with the bike when I bought it - I removed the Jardine). It ran very well until it broke down with an unrelated issue. Not sure how much of a difference the open airbox made. |
