I'm seeing the deals and am closing in on a lightning or xt. Seems the logical successor to the M2.

How do you fix these xb bikes? On my M2 I could have the heads off if needed in an hour and a half. Everything is out and exposed, a pleasure to work on if needed. I rode a xb12ss and really dig it, same with the xt. Everything is where it should be, fits like a glove.

Problem is I might need to sell the M2. I can't have two bikes doing the same job laying around.

How do you get access to the engine on an xb? Does it drop out or rotate? Is it tough? Special tools?

thanks

Anything related to the rear cylinder will be more difficult than your tuber, such as changing your plugs. The motor is designed to be rotated down, it is easy to do but can be intimidating if you have never done it before.

(You can change the plugs without motor rotation.)
