Getting ready to place a nice big order with Al.

Catch can, round racing pegs (OEM's are way to slippery for me), 1" drop mounting bracket for pegs, tubing and filter for catch can, oil filter for next oil change, and he is sending me some tech spec pads that I swapped out with him after winning some for the wrong frame type.

Anyways I have a bit more spending money and am skimming his site trying to find some more "bling" or fun stuff to get for not TO much more $$$, but I cant find anything :P.

Any ideas?

Only thing I thought of was open air box mod and new air filter but I don't want to spend that much when I wont be dyno'ing the bike for a while, and can't even install it.

Installing the open air box is easier than you might think.

If you've already got all the good bits and are just looking to get rid of what $$ is left in your pocket, why not get a clutch cable or two. Maybe some throttle cables.

Stuff that you will eventually need down the road whether it be a year away or ten.

It's always a nice feeling to have spare parts at the ready : )

Actually..now that I think of it, if you have not already picked up a set of axle sliders, I would put my money there.

Bling that can save your bike : )

Got those already!

Not worried about the installation, just already have a drummer and am worried about adding in the open air box and making my bike run leaner then it already is.

Eventually Ill get the open air box when I am ready to get the bike remapped on the dyno.

I say just get what you need and get it tuned. You can live without the pegs and such for a little while longer. I took my 08 12R to JT&S last monday. Just hope I get it back sooner that later, I want to start riding again before more rain comes

Pegs are $130. Tune is well over $600 when you add in the filter and open air box.

Ill get to it soon though, dont worry about that! And the more I hear about it (like from you!) and how the bike feels, the sooner Ill want to get it done.

I really do need the pegs though, the OEM's are TERRIBLE IMO.

haha...ok, I forgot it was that much. I lucked out on my 08 that they are able to use ecmspy and don't have to break out the direct link, that saved me $250!!! Looks like I'll be doing some shopping as well being that that money was already set aside for my bike so why not use it. As soon as I get my bike back I'll let you know.

Right side scoop will be my addition to the order!

So yeah, when I have a lot of spare cash Ill get the tune but let me know the numbers, graphs and most importantly the feel. Oh and what work was done.

The graph was set in some water so that's why it looks like a 5yr old drew it with some crayons.
Anyways, new HP is 94.43 @ 6600RPM and TQ is 90 ft/lbs @ 4450RPM
The acceleration and shifting feel smoother. There isn't anymore surging, there is still some decel pop but much less
It did take 10 days but as I stated previously they didn't have to go direct link route and used ecmspy which saved me the cost of the key.
Overall I am very pleased with the results and would definitely take another bike back to JT&S

10 days!?!?!?!

I thought it was overnight... Was thinking my dad and I could ride up there, drop it off, have them do there thing and spend the night up there then ride back.

10 days is insane! Looks like good HP numbers. Does it feel a lot more powerful?

That's what I thought too. When I dropped it off they told me a couple days but they seemed to be working on a few bikes. and yes, it does feel more powerful but I only got to ride for a quick 30 min trip through town, I have developed the flu over the last couple days and it hurts to move. I'll try and get back out in the next couple days.

Ecan:

if you use ecmspy there is a few things you can do to get the pop out completely. its not in ecmspy but its the decel fuel % table all you need to do is lower the table value by 10% then type the value into the eeprom page and burn in the changes only. no more pop

you can do many of these type things with the ecm. go to my webpage and get your ecm version of the ols files for winols. then start looking at the data. its all there on what everything is. if you need help and Blake directs me where to post this info i can help anyone get into the data areas no listed directly and help understand the functions. I wont be on that area a lot of time since I am full time as a computer student furthering the education levels on script writing. something totally not English related (lol) the offer is on the table to the forum since I do not tune any longer for profit. I can help with many setups. even email KDfab and ask what i can do he watched me take his xb from not running to very well in aprox 10 minutes.

Got my order from Al!

Oil Filter
Tech Spec pad (replacing ugly universal stomp grips, more coverage and will look better)
Catch Can and Supplies for breather reroute
Racing foot pegs
Right Side Scoop

Plan is to install it all tomorrow and then go out for a short ride to sample everything : ).

Will be fun to see how it runs with the right side scoop and catch can (very excited about catch can) and also how much more confidence I have with hanging off etc... with the tech spec pads and foot pegs.

I don't have much trouble with it now but the OEM pegs are very slippery with my boots and the stomp grip location is not perfect. The tech spec pads are not as grippy but will make more contact so it should work even better, along with the pegs.

Very excited : ).

Maybe Ill ride over to Harley and get them to install those new plugs as they promised and pick up some oil even for a quick change! Bike will really be running nicely! Primary chain could use an adjustement as well.

Maintenance day!

LSL pegs on and look great!

Tech spec pads on and look WAYYYYY better then the square clear stomp grip I had on, plus the tech spec will actually make contact with my legs when braking (stomp grips only did when hanging off) or just sitting up which should help a lot.

Right side air scoop is on and looks great!

Catch can is mounted, just need to do the reroute.
