Anyone near Minneapolis area have an XB9SL that wants a regular S suspension?

I have an '03 XB9S, in great shape, ridden well and not abused...and would expect the same.

My forks need the oil to be changed (at least by the service intervals), and it's ok if yours do too.

I'm thinking we should do this: bring your bike to my garage sometime this winter, we'll swap from one bike to the other, change fork oils while we're doing it, and you can go on your way!

Let me know if any one is interested. I believe that the only eligible bike is the XB9SL, not any of the SCGs,as fork diameters are different.

I don't have an interest in shipping them anywhere...I'd just buy the parts and sell mine if that was the route to take.

All 03-05 XB, and 05+ SCG models are 41mm. Not that it matters, because you can swap the whole tree if someone has a 43mm bike.

Edit, none of the low models are 43mm, so that wouldn't matter.

Hmmm..so I guess I was mistaken!

So Froggy, you're saying I can use basically any XB9SL or 12SCG forks?

The SCG uses the same everything as the SL. In fact, if you go to your favorite dealer, look at the part number on the fork tube of any SCG up to 2008 (09 they blacked it and its a new number), and you will see its got the 03 SL number on it : )

Don't forget to swap the kickstands! : )
