Hi all, I just bought a new 2008STT to replace my 2003 Buell. I want to get those Hepco Becker hard bag mounts. IT says they fit "All XBs" I just wanted to make sure that the frame pieces to which the mounts likely attach are the same on the STT as they are on other XBs. Does anyone know? I'd hate to buy the mounts for close to 300 bucks then find that they don't fit. Thanks. | ||

They won't fit. You can buy them, and make a bracket to adapt them to fit your bike. The SS,STT,X,XT,XP all use a different frame from the R,S,SX,SCG,SL. | ||

Off hand I do not recall. Use the search, Crusty did it for his wifes SS, and Birdy did it on his STT. | ||

Bummer. I hate to pay that much for mounts and then have to modify them to fit. I can't think of a better way to get hard bags on the bike, though. I luvs me some hard bags! I'll try to search but not sure exactly what terms to use. If anyone finds the thread please post a link. Thanks! Froggy, thanks for the info. | ||
