Whats the loudest aftermarket exhaust for an 09 XB12Scg? I live in Bumfuk, Nebraska so there arent any noise restrictions, I dont want to run it open headers cause it'll run like molasses in january, I still want to pop my front end up at the slightest flick of the wrist and still roar " I eat imports for breakfast!"

D&D or Jardine, but neither of them are spectacular exhausts, and the Jardine blows out packing more often than the bike needs an oil change. A Drummer exhaust is still more than loud enough and is a much nicer pipe. Oh, and it doesn't ruin the powerband either.

The loudest exhaust that I have heard is a Force.

Yes, imports. Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha etc...imports. Thats what I meant, dont get me wrong I know theres a few things on an XB12s that arent US made but its still an american company. But thats besides the point. Out of Spec O.P.s., Voodoo Fab., Hawk Performance, Jardine gp-1, or a Termignoni which would have the best sound?

Force is probably the loudest, my Micron must run a very close second but they are not being produced any more and do not show up for sale often. Check out the exhaust shoot out from American Sportbike in the sponsor section, good stuff!

You could not go wrong with Spec Ops from Odie or a Drummer from Kevin. Both of these guys do custom work and are easy to work with, they will give you what you want and not break the bank.

For maximum dollar outlay if money is no object, the Termignoni is a loaded system and looks killer, as is the Force there are also some import systems, check out our sponsor section and look for Trojan. Those guys are serious about their XB's and have some really nice stuff albeit a bit pricey when shipped over the pond.

JMHO,

Pete

my D&D is admittedly too loud for me, but has a nice flat plate on he bottom which makes for easy lifting of the bike.
more stable than the rounded bottom, but i still don't trust it solely.

now, the sound 'quality' is in the ear of the beholder. you can listen to almost every exhaust at the asb exhaust shootout.

Hawk Perf. is not so loud, but sounds great. It wont bug the neighbors, but gives a nice rumble.

I've heard the same, D&D is the loudest. My Superhawk had D&D and I frickn' loved em. No body else seemed to.

My special OPS is deep and sounds better then my V8 mustang......

but that's my .02

Yes, D&D is loudest, Jardine is 2nd loudest. I have a Jardine carbon fiber slip-on and love it! Everyone on the road can hear me coming, which I think is much safer.

d&d is loud, sounded mean as hell when i had it on my bike, but the power wasnt that great and it got annoying on long rides.

the force is even louder and meaner sounding, its power isnt that great either though.

loud and power dont really mean squat.
if mine was dead silent and had all teh power i could hope for i'd be fine.
go for less posing and more riding.
no one should care if their stuff is the loudest wtf???

D&D is very loud... and has a huge low-midrange grunt but you will lose the top end power...

The Race exhaust in comparison will give you lots of top end power but almost no significant bottom end, much less then stock.

The drummer on the other hand works great with not fueling mods (better with them) if you keep the airbox stock (some do both but it will run really lean from what I hear) and will give you good power down low AND up top.

Like Xbpete stated: Just look at the exhaust shootout on American Sportbikes' website and nearly everything you need is there.

"The Race exhaust in comparison will give you lots of top end power but almost no significant bottom end, much less then stock. "

That is an incorrect statement and clearly comes from someone who has not spent time riding a bike with a race exhaust.
