I just bought an XB9R and there is a little switch under the clutch lever that gets pressed in when you pull the clutch...what is it for? The reason I ask is that mine is moving around and when I pull the clutch it doesn't always line up correctly. My initial guess is that it's the safety switch so you can't start the bike with the clutch out....is that right? | ||

The only switch I know of on that side of the left handlebar is the one that flashes the highbeam (passing light). | ||

this one is down underneath the clutch lever...it is not actuated by your hand but rather by the clutch lever itself. | ||

Its for starting the bike in gear. | ||

If you had an 04+ XB or 1125, you would know that wasn't true. They don't have kickstand switches. All the clutch switch does is prevent you from starting in gear with the lever out.  |
