i am not coming across any "i have done it and this does/doesnt work" posts.

i know its been done. just cant find it.

basically im just checking my options. yes i know i can get other setups but i am also trying to do this fairly inexpensively and can come up with most of the original parts pretty easily and cheaply compared to some of the kits.

i am more wondering if i am going to end up needing all the cables or if some have worked by rerouting them.

it would be stock s upper triple tree and stock s bars

I did see somebody on here who had done it just a few weeks ago....

it was a blue firebolt, they said that there were no clearance issues.

Not sure about the cables, but I did the opposite. I put a firebolt front fairing on my S. I am not sure, but you may have clearance problems with the bars hitting the fairing. I had crossroads bars and they were pretty close at full turn. Being that the S bars are higher, it might be a issue.
I eventually ended up doing the full R swap and put the R top triple on. I replaced the cables and brake hose because i had a ton of slack. You may be getting tight with the stock clutch and throttle cables, but I cant say for sure.

im pretty sure there isnt enough slack in all of them to make it work, but was hoping someone had spent the time trying.

Bars will contact the fairing when turning.
