kicking around ideas here,
seriously.
how to get into buell mechanical repairs and service?wrenching i mean
and /or a small business getting the buell parts the riders want and the buell dealers wont get.
seriously....all i'd need is a computer and beat the buell /hd parts system to a pulp.
there MUST be a niche market to do for the buell riders what the dealers cant or wont do

Just do it.

Make a simple business plan.

Start small, keep expenses to a minimum.

Build your reputation as an honest, trustworthy, skilled mechanic with a can-do attitude, and don't be impatient about making the business work.

Are there enough Buells in your Colorado area as a customer base to make your business a success? Could you supplement the Buell work by working occasionally on other makes, or if you want to remain Buell-only, then have some other work to supplement you at start-up?

Be ready to work hard (I'm sure you already do, but just sayin').

Wishing you the best of luck. Small, U.S. businesses are the way to go.

Not if the current administration has anything to do with it.....

Owning your own business is a lot harder than you might imagine. My wife and I own two and it is a killer. Ask Rob @ XbLights. He'll tell you the same thing. Work, work, work, (tiny bit of sleep) then work, work, work.........

Not discouraging you, just stating facts- work, work, work.....

True enough. I resigned from being a partner in a big NYC firm back in 2003, and went solo. Now I work the same crazy hours, but I can shift them around a bit more. The pay can be better than in a big outfit, but then again, if work slows down (like now), then it gets worse, and things get scary. }
