From your guys experience what's an extended warranty cost, what's it cover relitive to the standard 2 year and is it worth the price?

Thanks

Read the fine print. Every one is different. Many won't cover common failures on our bikes including wheel bearings and belts, as they are "wear items".

My extended warranty has literally paid for itself 4 times and I payed 3k extra for it. SPRING FOR IT !!! You WILL more than likely need it.Just last week I had the front head and header pipe replaced a 1200$ job and didn't pay one penny.

Buell does not have an extended warranty that I know of. It is probably something your dealer offers which is sub contracted out to some vendor. Again read the fine print. : )

I have just been talking to the Harley dealer that sold me my new 08 in March of this year. Shoulda bought the extended at time of purchase, but there was not a sales pitch really given on it at the time..damn..but she says it is about twelve hundred bucks for an additional year..but covers for the three then..pretty good really, covers all tow's even over a hundred sixty miles, pays accommadation if necessary and a no deductable front an back wheel replace or repair..it actually sounds like a hell of a deal if one rides a ton. I think it is through Harley, not Buell..that was my understanding. OH, yeah..a two hundred and something surcharge to do a mechanical go over the bike if not new, but get this..they just got rid of the buell mechanic, so they will just charge ya the two hundred whatever anyway..sounds like a rip to me..
For those of you in Canada, this was all just the last couple days from the Mountain View Harley in Chilliwack BC..but guessing all harley-buell dealers got the same stuff going on.
