All these Lightning seat questions paired with the few 200+mile rides I've done in the last few weeks has me wondering...Is there a more comfortable option for the Firebolt? Anybody have the Buell Custom seat?

Thanks in advance.

The first mod I did was the seat. Your choices are the Buell Custom or a Corbin. You can't go wrong either way.

I put 22K on the Custom seat on my Firebolt, including many 8 hour, 300-600mi days. No complaints.

Have some 5000 miles on my Buell custom seat. Worth every cent.

Thanks for the quick feedback. I'll probably go with the Buell seat. Can't see paying for a Corbin.

I traded my custom seat AND 100$ for a Corbin IMO the Corbin is 100x better. The custom seat was AT LEAST 2 inches higher and made me feel like I was sitting on top of my bike, the Corbin makes me feel like I'm sitting IN my bike. It totally transformed the way my bike feels and handles. Spend the extra dough its WELL worth it.

Another option is http://www.motorbikesaddles.com

He is a firebolt owner and a great guy. His seats seem top notch. I bought a cover for my firebolt seat, and his service was fast and top quality.
I plan on buying one from him this winter.

The stock seat is cushier than a Corbin and it's free. I put over 35,000 miles on a stock seat, but then again I put over 20,000 miles on one of these.

Comfort is subjective, just "man up" and ride.
