I'm looking for a airbox cover that has the mesh near the gas cap. I think the firebolts have them and the new lightnings with the translucent colors have it. I want it in the solid racing red though. I know it exists cause I've seen one on ebay but it didn't list what year or model it was from. Thanks

My brother took the screen of off an 08 12R and replaced the one on his 04 12R. You will break the plastic holding it in but a little silicon and it is fine.

I took a rotozip and cut my own hole in my 03 XB9R. I used some downspout mesh and attached it with some silicone from the inside.

They will fit your model, just look at the Buell website, get the part number and order it. If you get lucky and find another cheaper snatch it up with no worries.

All XBs since '06 have the screen in the airbox cover. And any airbox cover since the '03 MY will fit your bike. As U4euh said, check the website and order it up!! Just don't get one for an 1125. They will fit but they don't have the screen.

Thanks guys, I've found for sure the new XB12XT comes in racing red with the mesh. Now I just have to decide what decals to put on it. I has seen a red one with a black outline or maybe the all black one. I'll probably wait until it's on and can visualize it better.

Haha, I just spent the better part of this morning messing with google translate and ebay germany. Just looking to see what was there and checking out exhausts.
