There is no point. I used to troll around on other forums and do that, its pointless, your not going to change anyones views.

One of the big reasons I bought the XB was styling and comfort. The streets are flooded with plastic bikes designed as if each designer from every manufacturer were told to model the bike like an F16 fighter jet. Its a worn out look not to mention I dont want to hunch over the tank area while I lose feeling in my hands and wrists.

Some of those bikes look neat like the MV agusta F4. Most of them though just look like copies of each other.

Nobody will ever understand it when they wont even try to ride one, without the prior mindset of "I dont like harleys". Why do I ride a Buell? When I sit on it, start it up, and tear off down the road, it puts a bigger grin on my face than any other bike I have ever ridden has been able to. It has plenty of get up and go for me on the street, usable power across the ENTIRE powerband, and for me, comfortable. When I can sit here, not even looking at my bike, and get butterflies in my stomach from just thinking about riding it, then it is definitely the bike for me.

I was just mentioning the other day how my Buell is the best bike I've ever owned.

Not so much because of the looks and performance (though they are key factors)but because it just doesn't get old.

I've had 4 bikes before the Buell and the first three were left bone stock. I had no interest in trying to personalize something that was impersonal.

The 4th, the Sportster got only the needed mods. Suspension and conversion to 1200cc.

The Buell on the other hand is almost 4 & 1/2 years old and I'm still working on it. Changing this. Changing that. She's always evolving, becoming more than 'just a bike'.

Buell's have personality.

to me its like Buell built the bike just for me personally.

I wanted a V twin for grunt around town and usable power

But I didn't want a cruiser I liked the vrod but it couldn't corner
I wanted to lean the piss out of my bike

and I wanted a naked bike, a streetfighter.

I looked at other naked bikes, mainly the triumph bikes

but I also rode some ducati bikes, monsters and the hypermotard
they were nice but felt forced

my Buell on the other hand felt as natual as breathing. instantly I was in tune with it. it was almost telepathic the way it would move with me.

its everything I could want in a bike, and like Randomchaos I get exited just thinking about it.

its a bike that has the power where I NEED it. because I don't need to do 170 down the freeway but I do need to get out into traffic at a decent clip}

BIKE Magazine (UK) also scored the Buell as the best handling bike of all recently...

oh and a little older... but pretty accurate description of the "Buell mentality" and why people love these bikes... The article could almost be used for the XB12S as well imo.

I wanted a harley and I wanted a crotch rocket. I wanted something like the '77 xlcr but with a more solid frame.

I don't expect too many other people to understand that. And I'm not too worried about that.

I met a man once who told me that he didn't like my choices but he didn't fight two wars for nothing. (Base CO, after disciplining grunts who were ragging on me for my long hair, I was civvy.)

If you wanted to stir the pot, you could have done better. For example: post "I really like the Buell design of belt drive (or low pipe), how can I put one on my zx-10r?" Don't say so much, they'll spew all over the place on very little.

Yes, we love our Buells, but you guys are missing the real point of this thread. Pogue_mahone posted a link where he was quite proud of himself for trolling on www.zxforums.com ....then getting pwnd for being a troll on an old thread.

See here post #34

He couldn't even post a link to the real forum, but a link to a picture on google images which references the forum. Sorry Pogue_mahone, but all trolls are douche bags even if they ride a Buell.

Want to do some trolling?
http://www.southbayriders.com/forums/showthread.ph p?t=83292

http://www.rocketmadness.com/forums/showthread.php ?t=39701

At least on those forums, you have a chance of getting someone to think twice about a Buell.

to think at one time I road a zx9r...

I would never be associated with those guys though. Besides even when I was riding my zx9r I was still a huge buell fan and was not happy until i returned to the buell world.
