ok here goes - i have a few questions in my head and am hoping to get some advice from you guys to make sure i'm doing things right : )

1 - my 06 12r has a broken servo, replacing this is quite pricey. Used ecm spy so the ecm will not detect the servo fault and there is no engine warning light..

I have found a buell race can, when this is fitted, am hoping to remove the servo motor completely and get ecm remapped to buell race ecm map - will the remapped ecm start picking up the missing servo motor again? i know the oem race ecm does not but this will be a remapped stock...

2 - after install of the race can will i need to do things like a TPS reset or anything else?

3 - just want to make sure here - will the remapped stock ecm 2 race ecm be the best option for getting most out of the bike with its race can and pipercross airfilter(plug'n'play)or would it be better to get dyno runs still for fine tuning?? have read views going both ways and am not sure - i am confused i think as to what improvement dyno runs do compared to the race ecm map...

last but not least;
4 - besides the location of the holes in the '07 air box is there any difference to the '06 box? shape / size - have heard there is a nozzle at the front of the 07 box which the 06 does not have?? am thinking of drilling the 06 but if there are many structural differences may just get a used 07 box. Am not interested in making ultimate airbox kind of thing - just opening it up a little in the same wasy as the 07 box...

many thanks for any info and I am sorry for wall of text!

i know many things above have been covered briefly in other threads but there was so much to read through and so many conflicting opinions i thought better ask directly...

cheers

No.

A "custom canned map" can be better than stock; but will never replace a custom map, particular to your bike, and dyno time.

The '07 airbox is only $35US; just buy a replacement.

Hope that helps.

In the mean time, I have a complete servo for sale, PM me. I was going to use it on an exhaust project, but went a different route.
