Author Message   Ochoa0042 Posted on Friday, August 28, 2009 - 09:09 pm:        I've got the whole engine back together.. mechanics are done, now the electrical .. I've turned the engine over to check out the valve-worx, and nothing grabs.. No pistons are hitting any valves, and I got the cam-work in the gear case to the book.... I have a spare ECM and wiring harness in the garage, so I plan to get the engine running while its on the floor. And I cannot find it in the book on where it talks about this area: Doing some reverse engineering, I took a stab at where its supposed to be placed.. Exhibit A - the plate things (control gates?) Exhibit B - at what place do I position this thing? Within the yellow holes, or in the red adjustable area. notice there are degree tick marks, so those should have something at play.. going along with the yellow holes.... The timing marks should be towards the left as you look at them.. The slots are cut for the screw mounts( circled in yellow) so that you can rotate the plate to adjust static timing.   Ochoa0042 Posted on Sunday, August 30, 2009 - 09:02 pm:        ok, i've switched it over 180... found the page and working on it... its tricky, but ultimately simple
