I have always had a engine rpm dependent buzzy vibration starting at 4000 rpm that I can feel in the pegs on my 08 XT. I have checked the chain free play per the manual and find 3/16" difference in play from the tightest to the loosest position.
This seems excessive to me!

I have gone from 3/8" to 1/2" play settings (cold)with the chain placed in the tightest position and cannot eliminate the vibration.

It has ~2600miles on it. The isolator mounts are in perfect condition, head pipes are tight, muffler straps are tight etc.

Any opinions!

Thanks,

Husky

primary chains are sometimes picky, put you bike in 4th gear and got all the slack at the top, then do the adjustment for the cold setting, primary chains
