So my bike has been giving me all sorts of headaches since I got it. But when it runs....hoooweee! Does she run!!! Anyways- the downtime (in my opinion) is contributed to the PC 3. I just picked up my force pipe from Precision Metal (had the mounting welds re-welded) and wrapped it all up while it was off the bike. Dropping the pipe off at Fairibult HD (my bike is already there) And they are doing some work on it. -new plugs/wires -mounting new pipe -re-tuning the ecu (using direct link) Im really excited about the work being done and just thought I'd share it with ya'll!!!! I'll post pics of the new gear when I get her back next week (as well as dyno printouts) Just a question- I tried to change out the plugs myself before bringing it in, but damned if they aren't in the tightest spot EVER! Felt like I was working on an import car! Hahahah- so is there a trick to getting at those plugs or is it just a bloody knucklefest? |

I use a wobble extension to get at the rear plug. It gives the socket about 5 degrees of play just enough to reach the rear plug and doesn't flop around like a swivel socket does. A length of fuel hose (can't remember the diameter off hand) stuck over the plug end helps to feed it back in and lets me get a feel for the threads so not to cross thread it. |

The service manual outlines the procedure for changing plugs. It's pretty well written and relatively easy to understand. I'd recommend picking one up if you dont have one. |
