Information on Nalin website shows a power decrease by removing it.

That being said, mine is on the shelf.

There is no snorkel on the 07's, you mean the trumpet that connects to the throttle body?

Yes, it smooths airflow to the throttle body.

So it is a good idea to remove the trumpet?
If I remove it can I replace it at a later date?

Keep the trumpet. "I" have never heard of any benefit in removing it.

Back to the actual snorkel...

Any signs or indications of reasons to keep the snorkel?

I have an '03. I removed my snorkle (that's the rubber intake restricter that goes thru the hole in the left side of the frame). Smoothed out the bottom end very nicely - best way I can describe it is that the engine felt like it was lugging less on take off (though it was never lugging - it's just that feeling of better power off of idle).

Next thing I did was add a K&N filter - but I took that out and put the paper filter back in because the free'er flowing filter just made it run leaner/hotter with no large amount of benefit (with standard exhaust and ECM).

Midknyte,

Keep the filter, and get an exhaust. It's the easiest and most effecient upgrade you can do. Most power for your money. Plus, you get the true Buell sound.... and that is nothing but sexy.

If yoy get ECMSPY you can fix that little problem.

I'm quite happy with the bike - it's bigger than my last one
