cant remember how to do it - even though i had replaced my indicators a few years back myself - thought it was through the rear light but not - any clues would be of help : )

have you looked at the bike or is this post off the top of your head?

lol i looked at it and for the life of me cant remember how to get to the rear indicators
having a bad-brain-day today : (

Profile says you have an R.

If you wish to replace the whole indicator - you'll need to remove your tail section plastic.

Take off your seat.

You will find 3 torq screws on top of the tail, and 2 on the bottom side holding it in place.

Remove those screws and, standing from behind the bike, grab it from the under-sides and spread it open and back.

Be mindful of the rear seat latch cable that will be attached to the plastic. No need to remove it. Just put a towel or rag on the floor by the left side of your bike so you can stand the tail on end as you work...

Also, pay attention when putting the tail section back - it's a bit of a trick to spread it and push down just right so that the lips over the bottom splash/undercarriage plastic.

odd thing why i couldn't remember as i had done this before with the current indicators - oh well : )
