saw one today.idiot in a jeep stops in the lane where u just keep going and then merge.guy on bike sees him at last second and bumped into him and rolled.he was ok,i went back and gave him my number,as i was looking at him and the jeep when it happened.he was totally covered in tourmaster gear...and helmet. colorado drivers are the worst ever. i had to leave my name and number.so i did. i hope he's ok. scott | ||

The trouble with accidents like that is I think they ALWAYS consider it your fault if you rear-end someone. It is very hard to watch traffic as you're trying to merge, especially on a bike, AND watch out for the guy in front of you changing his mind about merging at the last instant. | ||

When I first started riding. I was getting on the expressway looking over my shoulder for a safe spot to merge when I looked forward the idiot in front of me got nervous and had come to a complete stop at the very end of the on ramp. I was going way to fast to stop and ended up squeezing by the car with my heart in my throat. Lesson learned: treat all drivers as if it was their first day on the road, they are blind and dumb. | ||

CRAP - a chipped bone in the elbow can really come back to haunt the guy later - especially if it's in the joint or interfering with movement. All things considered, sure COULDA been worse! |
