Blue - I think the Hillbillies over in Germany have made a Turbo for the XB. Think Trojan is reselling em. they look sweet, but a bit on the costly side if you ask me. I know the turbo kit exists, not sure about the others. |

The turbo kit is being replaced by a supercharger kit very soon. It has the advantage of providing boost throughout the rev range, as opposed to a turbo which really only kicks in at the higher rev ranges. The kit will include a new primary cover with supercharger drive off the end of the crank. It is a very compact unit so doesn't stick out like a sticky out thing either! Initial tests are ongoing ... |

Turbos rule! Use your burnt hot gas, don't waste it!There's a lot of adjustment that you would not have with a blower. |

Where do blowers and turbos fit in the '130hp is the limit for XBs to stay alive' scheme of things? I am guessing that the turbo will be gentler on the crank. The standard cams are pretty radical so they may cause lots of lag unless a 'small' turbo is used? I just read an interesting series of articles about turbos in Hot Rod so somebody in LaLa land knows a thing or two! |
