That looks awesome. I wonder how loud it is...louder than the D&D or Force? How much is 300 English pounds in US dollars? I also wounder about the performance.

I was talking to Matt @ Trojan-Horse about 1 of these "Gansta" pipes (they have a 4.5" outlet) I just wanted to fit 1 on my XB for a laugh, and to see how long I'd last in London without getting arrested.

Apparently a guy in europe has got good power gains with it fitted *I don't know what other mods he done though.

It sounds like a Ducati with a hard-on!
Uses standard straps at rear/bolt at front.
Next version has an outlet like Jay Leno's Turbo bike.

Martin,

sorry if I sound dumb, but do you know if it's louder than a D&D or Force pipe? I'm not really sure what a Ducati sounds like....i've never heard one.

What does Jay Leno's turbo bike outlet look like?

thanks

The muffler comes fro Hillbilly and I talked to him about the pipe for my 12 and they said it most likely wouldn't do alot for me.

Looks like a cage ricer coffee can exhaust.
Same as Accord, Civic, et al go fast wanna be's use.

I like the look of the old Boss pipe from Stainless Steel Specialties.
Too bad they dropped production for Buell's during the waning days of the tubers.
I'll bet they could make a neat looking Bolt slip on.

Not as loud as a Force. Same as a drummer, I guess, but without the bass boost turned up, sort of angrier in the top notes, with a hint of oak barrels in the nose (I made the last bit up)
The Turbine bikes have an outlet like the stretched oval that Turboprop planes have.

that's classic. I'd be afraid an animal would make it it's home then it get's rifled out during startup

the picture was of a prototype. The front mount is now thicker and the back mounts using the standard strap system with an under-cradle. Personally I'd be more worried about dismounts.

As for small furry animals running up your pipe....

I transcribed my dyno figures into excel for an xb9 with a Gangsta. Also has K&N, no snorkel, white wire snipped and an X1 map in the PC111 (So its not optimised at all.) Its only comparable by the shape of the curve but its all I have.
application/vnd.ms-excel

Euro models have a white wire from the ECU which is supposed to flatten the mid-range to pass a noise test. Results seem to vary from bike to bike. I fitted a switch in mine instead of cutting the wire-just in case I had cut the wrong one!
US models don't have it.

If I remember correctly, Kevin's Drummer on Brian's bike with a clean K&N filter was in the low to mid 80s for max HP. Had a flat torque profile as well. Case closed. As far as I can tell, nobody has outdone our redneck buddy from Hickory, NC as of yet.

Maybe so,but that is what is nice about not having a monopoly of one product for everyone.People can decide on looks, performance, and the all important sound.Kinda like a model or a big olheavy girl!
One is gonna be "high maintenance". but you have to decide for yourself.Kind of like going to a beemer rally and seeing the same bikes, same "Loofiemiesters" and GPS mounts. That's what makes my Buell stand out amongst em! : )
Besides I am smilin more than those guy's!
