I'm going to replace my wheel bearings myself and I've found I can often buy a better bearing at a lower cost than from the HD shop. Anyone have a bearing manufacturer's part # for the right size bearing?

You need 6005 2RS fro the front and 6006 2RS for the rear. These are standard bearings.

Roc,
Which bike are the bearings going into. If it is either the S1 or S2, I think the bearings are 60042rs and 60052rs.

Thank you gents. Yes it is for the XB.

The S1 runs very well. I guess I should change my profile picture ot avoid confusion.

I would like to keep these part #s for future reference, but I'm wondering if the #s are for a particular manufacturer? TIA

No. They are standard bearing numbers. Any manufacturer should do them.

I might be mistaken but I believe the actual bearing numbers for the tube frame Buell wheels are 6204RS & 6205RS..the above post may have been a typo error??

Roc: You are going to have to explain the color on your XB. How did you do it?

It is a red kevlar and carbon fiber, black, weave. I started a company, contracted with a manufacturer, and recieved parts much later than I was told I would. It was pretty much down hill from there.

On a positive note, I did not drop it last night when it jumped off of the front pit bull stand - saved by my lady and a fellow Buell rider.
