Hey folks, I spotted an XB12STT the other day, first one I've ever actually seen on the road. Tried to chase it but the old F-100 isn't quite as nimble ; )

The one I saw was white with black stripe, had low front guard and number plates removed. Looked really neat : )

I'm curious to see what people have done with STT's, so please post a pic if you have one.

Did they only come in white?

Thanks,
chili

I have an 07stt, it has an ss touring seat, a regular front fender, passenger pegs.
Cheesegrater is gone, it has led tail light with integrated turn signals and a set of oberon bar end signals on the front.
I have a ventura rack and JC whitney topcase and a set of soft bags for touring.

I think I need a uly too

What are the suspension/frame/swingarm differences between an stt and an x or xt?

Looks to me like it's already a uly minus the tail and dash.

Until you got to it!
I do like your bike though : )

And SS?
Is it somewhere between the SS and the X?

The XT has less(3/4" IIRC)suspension travel, but is still 1/2" taller seat height. But my bike will, and has bottomed out. I can see on the rear fender where it has hit the undertail.

The X is still about 3/4" more travel, and 1 1/4" taller seat height.

The frame & swingarm between the X,XT,SS,and STT are identical.

And here's my wife's STT with a few less modifications.

Ok, I think I got it. All the variants of what is essentially the Uly frame have almost identical rake figures, but differ in height and suspension travel.

Yeah, I'm a nerd, but here's front suspension travel in order:
X1 4.6"/119mm
XB12S 4.7"/120mm
XB12Ss (2007) 120mm
XB12XT 4.9"/125mm
XB12STT 5.6"/143mm
XB12Ss (2009) 5.6"/143mm
XB12X 6.5"/165mm

I'd forgotten the XB12Ss got the STT suspension for '09 when the STT was discontinued.

STTs rarely stay stock as you can see. Mine's came with the orange airbox and I hated it, but got a good enough deal to be able to buy a white one and not feel bad about it.

Low front fender from a Ss
Touring saddle
Hepco & Becker bags and mounts
Cheap barend mirrors
Cee Bailey wind shield
Hella Driving lights (not on in this photo)
And a Buell tank bag clips on when needed and a Roll Bag across the rear of the seat and I'm good for a week.

Thinking about adding Uly footpeg mounts for a little more leg room

They're starting to seem like the ultimate donor XB. There are a few around here (though I've only seen the one on the road) and when for sale a bit cheaper than an SS or a Uly.

"You all already know what mine looks like! "
Hehe, yes I do. How's the damage?
It was an STT originally too!?

Started off as a SS, turned into a STT via take off parts except suspension, and now the insurance company is buying me STT forks : )

Froggy I'm glad they're buying new forks for your bike and not parts for YOU!

Get well soon and try not do this again...might not be so lucky next time.

As you can see, stock as the day it was born. I probably won't mess with it.

I went for a ride today, and what's the first Buell I see? An STT kind of turned into an SS... I like, kind of an XB equivalent to my bike:

STT 1

stt 2
