ive noticed that my rpm's are hanging alittle bit when i shift and or come to a stop. I did a TPS reset about 2 months ago but never really noticed it. You think i just need to reset it again? Or could it be something else?

Idle is a tad high.

i lowered it the other day. Its about 1,000 at idle. I will go down to 950 and see if it helps!

i was about to say something of the sort. when adjusting the idle, you usually twist it this way, then that way, then this way again, and that way again to get it to the position you want it at.. when doing that the cable gets binds and twists with in the line that soon after riding the bike, the vibration un twists those binds and throws off the idle.. problem solved, yay!

mine is the same. i prefer it like that. i feel the bike is more responsive... maybe i'm tarded though... but really, the tps and ecm can only work so fast. with a throttle snap a higher idle gives you a fightfing chance to avoid bogging : ) JMO

I had the same issue, but lowering the idle didn't help because then when it was cold the engine wouldn't stay running. Turned out it was getting too much fuel at low TPS settings so I took some out and fixed!

Try resetting the TPS.

+1, and JUST replaced the intake seals.
AFV stable now, but idle 'hangs' too high after full warm-up.
Plan: re-adjust idle @ hot engine.

i found my idle cable had worn part way through. when i replaced it i used some 10mm (3/82) breather hose over the new cable to stop that happening again.

follow this link to UKBEG and there are a few pics to show what i did (in the second post). it also pays to use some anti seize on the adjuster thread
