I know this has probably been posted before, but what do you guys think is the all-around best brake pad for the street, cus the stock ones are just horrible, even my front brakes feel like them old school go-kart brakes with the strap that goes around the axel. So im gonna buy some more, i just need to know what kind and where to buy them, Thanks

Go down further and find the post about the Golds being no good on the track. I am running EBC front and rear, Great on street or track.

Lyns have poor initial bite and not as an aggressive braking potential. Great for street use.

EBC's have great bite and braking potential. Great for track use.

Brakes are cheap enough that you can buy a set of both!

Beware of the Lyndall carbon kevlar gold pad's. In my experience with them they are hard on the rotor's.
I have been through three set's of them, front and rear. Running track day's and spirited canyon riding they wear fairly quickly as did the rotor's.
I installed new rotor's and have switched to EBC's and as other's have said, they are much much better, the rotor's show less wear as well.

+1 with RSH. My rotor showed significant "dishing" after using the Lyndal's. I'd still use them on the street though (but use EBC or DP on the track).

No difference on brake dust.

I have heard the Lyndals are rough on the rotors and fade alot. There are a few roads around me that I ride heavily, so brake fade somewhat scares me. Are the EBC's just as hard on the rotors, or are they a good replacement for all around use?

My front pads have just started squeaking, not quite sure why?? They are worn, but they are not worn past the grooves. I think I might just replace them anyway.

I've used Lyndals on the track and I made sure that I broke them in properly before hand. I would never say they fade under heavy braking - they just don't have as much braking power as EBC's.

And having slower braking power is a benefit on the street as you have a tendency to brake too quickly on the street, say for a car that comes into your lane or deer that dashes across the road. The EBC's would lock up the front wheel (spoken from experience) as the Lynd's don't since they don't have that initial bite.

You won't go wrong with either one. Like I said, I'd recommend Lynd's for the street but EBC's for the track.

Brakes are so cheap and easy to replace that you can try all different brands!

I have locked up the front brake on my ZTL2 Lyndal's on the street before, not fun. Actually it is fun once the pucker factor wears off. : )

Just ordered a set of EBC's for the rear. Haven't had any issues with the stock fronts, but the rears suck.
