Hello fellow Buellers! I'm new to the forum and just wanted to post a quick pic of me riding my recently custom painted, powdercoated, and modded 2004 XB12S on the Tail of the Dragon last Friday afternoon. I bought the bike on Ebay a few months ago with 4700 miles on it. When I got it, it was black w/ amber wheels and had the following mods: -Buell frame pucks, -Buell hand-guards Since then, I've added the following additions to the mods list: -XB9 forks & rear shock; -Homemade "Cheese-Grater" removal; -Removed all stickers, belt guards, rear pegs; -DarkHorse Moto axle sliders (black anodized); -Crosstrax footpegs (black anodized, from eBay); -ProTaper handlebars (black anodized "dirt-bike" style); -Crankcase breather re-route; -MotoDeluxe bar-end mirrors (black anodized, from Ebay); -Custom paint: -plastics (Jeep Rescue Green Metallic w/ clear coat); -wheels (Rescue Green Metallic / Black Pearl Metallic w/ clear coat); -Frame & Swingarm (Charcoal Gray Metallic w/ clear coat); -Custom Powdercoating (High Gloss black): -forks, -primary cover, -header pipes, -cam cover, -exhaust can, -rear sprocket, -idler pulley, etc. ...many more to come. My next mod will, most likely, be the British SAS gas mask mod. I'd just like to thank everyone on this forum for their posts and pics, which have given me many great ideas and have caused me to spend hundreds of dollars!! LOL  I'll post more pics of the bike (up close) as I get a chance to take them. Until then, there's a lot of riding to catch up on since the bike has been in pieces over the last month for painting and powdercoating etc.  | ||

Thanks everyone! Mbo54, to answer your question, I'm running Metzlers on the bike...standard size. I would also like to let you all know that I just got through doing the "gas mask" mod to the bike this afternoon. I used a US military issue instead of a British SAS S10. I think it looks pretty awesome!! I will try to get some pics up ASAP. | ||
