Ok well I was working on a project yesterday with some super glue and let it dry on a shelf. Well some of the glue must of ran off it and onto my brand new icon daytona leather jacket. There are three pen point sized dots on the shoulder and I am mad. I have no clue about how to get it off there! Im afraid to use nail polish remover or alcohol because it might take off the color. Anyone have any idea??

Google is awesome.

Crazy glue is a brand name for a bunch of glues that are essentially cyanoacrylics. The solvent is acetone. Finger nail polish probably didn't work because it is a very diluted form of acetone (usually also containing oils and perfume to make it less "solvent" smelling) Anyway, use the full strength stuff (available at any store that carries hardware and paint supplies). I would suggest testing a small amount on an inconspicuous part of the jacket first just to be safe, but it probably won't hurt anything unless it is dyed leather. (Even then, the dye would have to be soluble in acetone.) Most likely, you will have to scratch up the surface a bit first to allow the solvent to penetrate; then drop a bit on and let it set until it evaporates. Do that a few times to soften it up before gently rubbing the spot with a soft cloth or toothbrush. (Make sure you don't use a brush with bristles that can dissolve in acetones - some plastics will! Best to use a natural bristle if possible.) Use a leather conditioner afterward because acetone is very drying. Good Luck!

There are also commercial super glue remover's...

But acetone's cheaper and probably the same effect.

IMHO the commercial super glue remover would be better for what you want to do. Its jelled, so you can deposit it on a small dot of glue without smearing solvent all over your jacket. The jell also holds the solvent in a jell state so it is concentrated on the small spot. makes it easy to apply and scrape off.

Acetone will take the dye out of leather, be warned.

Three pin point size dots. I'd just put it on and ride. I would cause more damage trying to get them off. Could borrow a buddies Yamaha to low side making sure to hit the pavement with the three dots. I'd just ride.
