Wouldn't it be great if you could adjust your TPS with your iPhone and a cable?

Anyone invent this yet?

I showed a friend how he could adjust the timing belts on his Ducati using the iPhone to read the frequency of the belts when tightened: they should be at 110 hz for a Testastretta.

Not smart enough to do the TPS thing though.

Anyone?

The Apple iPHone Development software is a free download ... ECMSPY for the iPhone using the a Wi-FI or Bluetooth connector would be awesome!!!

Absolutely, and it is extremely important that they are maintained and replaced on a regular basis or really bad things can happen.

Wow, combine this with valve adjustments and you literally have a ticking time bomb. Poor overcharged Ducati owners... And I thought the 749's were cool bikes... Now I like my 4 crank-driven cams and hydraulic lifters 100 times more
Sorry for the thread jack

Hey Glitch -

Here is a whole new career for you.

Technical apps for the iPhone. The developer kit is only about a hundred bucks, if I recall, and now the iPhone 3Gs is configured to accept inputs on the charging cable.

Between the compass, camera, accelerometers, microphone, earphones and speakers, and high resolution screen, the iPhone can be set up to mimick literally thousands of test devices.

Perfect situation for a programmer with an interest in motorcycles, or so it seems to me.
