Tank protector is duck tape. I did a 1,700 mile trip last year and although my a_ _ hurt my hand did not! I like the grafatti!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been using it in all my bikes since it first came out some time in 2000-2001 I believe. Thanks all for the kind compliments on the bike! I will be working on putting some serious graffiti on the frame now I ordered some graffiti paint markers but am contemplating having them done in decals. I do not think they were that expensive so check it out....
