Does anyone know what the timing mark actually looks like? I think (by the sound of the fuel pump going off, its nothing more than what looks like a scratch in the flywheel. If someone has a picture it would help.

On a side note, my pump cycles (and ECMspy switches from 0 to 5) after the mark completely passes the hole going from left to right and is out of view. Thats why I'm questioning if I'm looking at the correct thing.

Yeah, I mean I have the service manual... I just don't know what I'm physically looking for on the flywheel. Is the mark actually machined in or is it something that is hand scribed?

It is a machined line, not hard to find. Pull the spark plugs and get close to Top dead Center on the front plug, Stick a big wide flat blade screw driver in the timing hole as you slowly turn the engine over BY HAND (NO STARTER MOTOR) ,when the line gets there, you will know it as the blade will fall into the slot. Hope that's clear enough for ya.
