I have a set of XBR headlights for a project. I see one wire coming out of them. Is this the hot wire or ground and wher. Is the other connection?

The wire coming out is the hot wire, usually white, there is a ground tab on the rear of the bulb. If you pull off the rubber cover off the back of the housing you will see it.
