okay, so i rode the bike into work friday morning. park it in the shop, no big deal. i return at 5pm waiting all day to get back on her and ride to cool off! only to my surprise i see a couple little oil spots under the muffler, and rear of the swingarm. i'm scratching my head like WTF? then i notice it is on my rear tire as well, all over the clutch side, i'm thinking SCARY coulda been ugly disaster of a ride. the lines had to have ruptured right as i was rolling into the shop that morning as there was no sign of oil being sprayed all over the bike. i think i got lucky! it appears the 3 stainless braided oil lines under the swing arm were in contact with each other and the flared compression fittings rubbed thru the braided lines causing them to fail. so anyway enuf of the story, i am looking for part numbers to replace all 3 lines or lengths and specs of all 3 lines so i can have NAPA make me some replacements. anyone with some info please share, as my bike is stranded at my work with no way home, 50miles away. |

okay, trailered the bike home today. will be taking the lines off in the next few days. thanks for all the info . dealership is saying for all 3 lines its over $150. looks like it'll be NAPA or the local International tractor dealer down the road to make me some. |
