Dave, I have had it with every Buell dealer in my area. On this board I have heard nothing but praise for your dealership. I was wondering what kind of problems I would have if I bought a new xb12 from you and rode it back here to md. this summer? Just wondering about T-tags, and registration, mostly. I dont want my hard earned money going to people who dont ride, know about or know how to work on the bike I want. Besides, would probably be a sweet ride home. Local dealer tried to talk me into a softail....AGAIN Do they make that much more money on those?

Twincamfxd,
I know how you feel. I have a H-D dealer less than 5 miles from my house, but they don't "get" Buells. They "have" them, but they "sell" them at MSRP. (haven't sold many) I went 40 miles farther away to get my XB9S from a dealer who "gets it."

I've done the drive between south-central PA and Iowa a handful of times, and I gotta tell you, west of central Ohio, the roads are pretty flat and straight.

The good part is that when you're on the flat and straight part, you'll be breaking in the bike and getting to know it; you'll be buzzing 'cause you've got a new toy; and you'll have a nice warm & fuzzy feeling inside from Dave's customer service.

I only wish that when I lived out in IA that I (1) was into motorcycles, and (2) had known about Dave's dealership. It sure would have made my stay a lot more fun. : )

Its kinda like going into a resturant and ordering steak, but the waitress tries to talk you into chicken, and just wont let up!!!
Most of the dealers I have checked out seemed ok at first, but that harley sales pitch always works its way in. Then some get that "oh another buell guy attitude" and talk down to you. Thats when I just leave. I guess some people dont want my commission.

Twincam,
Buying one from me will be easy.
You just have to pay the tax and lic when you get home. We'll put a
"in transit" tag on the bike so you are legal to ride it home.
Would love to earn your business!
What kind of time frame are you looking at?
What color?

Yes, they do make "that" much more on a Softail when compared to a Buell. This is in no way an excuse not to do a great job with both brands.

Ride to the edge!
I'm out of the office until Monday!

Daves...You earned my business. Now go check your email and get me a spare Race ECM for my X1.

Figured I might as we take Blake's advice and get a spare. I just can't part with the X1 just yet. Not to mention Bomber, Henrik and Ferris provided a nice reality check. LOL

Thanks

Will be mid summer when I have enough $$ (paying cash). You have already earned my business,I have been lurking on this site for a long time, and I see how much you like and know the bikes. I will definately contact you. Thanks,
Matt

Bubba, I might just take you up on that. I love the roads down there.

Twincam... I live in Prescott AZ and bought from Dave. There's a reason people talk good of him, he's a great guy and he understands the Buells. I also happen to have a Buell friendly dealer near me so I have the best of both worlds. Oh, and the service manager at that Buell friendly dealer grew up not too far from me in Alaska... It's a small world.
