I have a 05 XB9SX that I put a race kit on and some other extras. Love the bike. At the end of April my Bike got vandalized. Both tires slashed, air box knifed up, and knifed threw the face gage. Did the insurance thing and finally got the bike back yesterday. Put Corsa III’s on it and a 09 air box which is why the dealer said it took so long. The problem is I don’t think the new electronic face gage is mounted in the right position. It’s flush against the metal bracket that holds the fly screen. But he Speedo looks low on the right side and has a big gap. I can see down between the fly screen and the speedo when I sit on the bike. Is there a piece that rises the speedo up that I’m missing? If needed, I could post some pix Saturday. Any help would be appreciated.

missing rubber spacer is my guess, but i dont thing so because the spacer is attached to the fairing bracket.

so they replaced the whole speedo? how do they program the old miles onto the bike? or is the odometer set back to 0zero?

The odo is set at the factory to whatever you want. The 1125's are smart and will pick it up from the ECM.

Anyway it should look like this

Mine has that gap too. In fact, where the foam is peeling off the inside of the flyscreen I can see all the way through to the ground. If it's level, it's OK.

Buell.com has pics of the XB9SX panel under features. Compare what you've got with that.
