Well, I've recently noticed that my bike likes running through about a quart of oil every 3000 miles and was wonder why this is. Thinking that it was just burning it, I didn't pay much attention too it.

Then i decided to wash the bike about a week ago and after i was done, left and after i got it warmed up and came to a stop light, i smelt it. Like when you put oil on your pipe and it gets that burnt smell. Once i got back to the barracks i did a look around on my bike and noticed that where the 2 oil lines that connect to the area by the filter that come off the oil cooler had oil all over it. And after just washing it about 30 minutes prior i saw oil drop streaks on the pipe.

The leak is right at where it connects to the main engine by the filter. It's not a bad enough leak to be gushing out oil, but its bad enough that about after about an hour of riding it'll be nice and wet and there will be oil spots all over my pipe.

So, time to go and get 2 new lines. They are ordered and they should be here within 2 weeks hopefully. I looked through the service manual and it shows how to disconnect the end that come off the oil cooler, but I can't seem to find anything on how to take them off the engine. It doesn't look like it would be too hard, maybe a little tricky with the header being there, but not bad.

I just thought i would ask to see if anyone else has done this if there is really anything too it, or if it's easy as it looks. Oh ya, and the torque for the new line that goes into the engine, cant seem to find that either.
