It does look great!

You can see his ear to ear grin though the helmet, but imagine if his bike was a 12 instead!

Be it a "9" or a "12" there is never a shortage of grins!!

I love my 9. Be it a 9 or a 12, if its a buell, I am grinning. I want to ride the 1125cr, too. Really do love that orange. I hated the amber look at first and now I love that too. Froggy you take some great pics. I am planning to hit up the kangamangus highway for some pics of the Buell this summer and fall.

I have a 9 and have ridden the 12. The 9 is pretty damn smooth and has a higher redline. I think It all comes down to preference. The 12 has a little more grunt at the bottom, but the difference is as not as big as some may think. Ride them both and decide for yourself.

What Buell should do is sell the XB9 with the 12 gearing, that way you can see how much of a slug it really is : )

I was chasing 12's at mid ohio... whacking the thottle wide open, the 12 will beat the 9 pulling ahead at the pace of a slow walk. Thats it. Probably has a higher top speed though... if you care about what your bike does above 130.

Of course the 1125's, most ridden by buell employees, blew by *both* bikes like they were standing still. Yikes.

So it is safe to say that the 1125 has a bit more pep than the XB9SX?..I'll keep my sights on the city X.

Even though a 2008 1125 is just $8k at my local dealer and the 2009 xb9sx is right at $9k.

Unfortunately, a more powerful gun doesn't make me a better bullet: )

Yep, the 40S&W is an outstanding, modern high-performance design (like the 1125R)... but I'll stick with my trusty 45ACP (and XB12R)- I guess I'm just old school.

That would be an accurate statement...

Back straight, mid ohio, my XB9SX...

Back straight, mid ohio, same day, one of only 29 (actually, by that time it was down to 28) Buell 1125R's in existence... a pre-release model.

Yeah, the 1125 is a bit quicker : )

Yeah -- it's a tough call. You can get a used 12 or slightly used 1125 for about the same as a new 9SX.

I went for the 9SX anyway. I wanted the 9 motor! I've also owned too many bikes because they were "good enough" and the price was "incredible" that, for once, I wanted to have the bike that i really wanted.

No regrets so far.

Great to hear! I love the 9sx. 1125=no, xb12=better be an amazing deal, 9sx=no hesitations.
Thanks again for all of the great input!
