The previous post on the subject went tangential. cranked up the XB12 yesterday on the way home, 4th gear uphill 4% grade 110 mph in 4th gear, was still pulling strong, had to back off for off camber bend. only mods to bike are the DRUMMER, and also a snorkelectomy. still running stock ecm, air filter, etc. nad i still like my pushrod vtwin. it runs good, sounds good, and feels just right. also cant complain much about 50 miles per gallon. later, dean |

50 mpg on a 12 thats pretty damn good, I'm getting about 51 out of my 9R and thats with about 20 minutes a day at 100 mph. I've done the airbox mod and run NGK plugs, stock air filter, ecm, and exhaust, still thinking about the Drummer though. Ski |

Just FYI - Racing my XB9R I get between somewhere around 15 mpg depending on the track Thats living between 4500rpm and the rev limiter all race on a stock motor. 119 |

If I keep it around 80 I get the 50mpg...if I average 90 which before anyone asks why...AZ traffic nuff said...it drops to about 40mpg. My 600 which I took to San Diego and back this weekend averaged about 30mpg. That however is a high strung IL4 so it doesn't suprise me at all. |

LOL! Fullpower, it seems that you've doomed yourself to another tangential discussion by mentioning the mpg. My breathed upon '97 Cyclone has hit 140 mph. |

Sorry didn't mean to turn it into a tangential discussion. Was just surprised that a 12 gets gas mileage like that. |
